Our Story
Julia & Kents Love Story Told in Chapters
Some couples spend years planning their wedding. Julia and Kent spent theirs planning an adventure.
After meeting through mutual friends, they quickly discovered they were complete opposites in all the best ways. Julia is organised, thoughtful and always one step ahead. Kent is calm, spontaneous and happy to figure things out as they go. Together, they found the perfect balance—and built a relationship around one simple idea: "Let's try it."
Home became a tiny house on Kent's family property outside Newcastle, where they built a life together, adopted their much-loved pup Penny, and dreamed about what their future could look like. When Kent proposed beneath the Eiffel Tower, saying yes was easy.
Instead of heading straight down the aisle, they packed their backpacks, used their wedding savings, and spent months travelling through 23 countries before becoming husband and wife. Along the way they learnt that the greatest adventure wasn't the destinations—it was growing together through every unexpected twist, challenge and unforgettable moment.
By the time they stood at the altar, they weren't just celebrating a wedding. They were celebrating a story years in the making.
